The IDEA3S research group employs a diverse range of tools and techniques, including incubators for growing bacteria, the semantic web for automated communication, energy simulators, and protocol design for qualitative research. This enables them to tackle each unique project with proper requirements analysis and management, ensuring success. In response to the growing trend of digital transformation, with 72% of construction companies prioritizing it, IDEA3S is also developing new systems and software to improve productivity and efficiency in automated decision-making for engineering, construction, and facilities management. The group also recognizes the importance of utilizing low-carbon and local materials in construction, dedicating teams to developing environmentally friendly construction materials using microbiological concepts, bio-based resources, and compressed earth blocks to reduce buildings’ carbon footprints.
