Niloofar Zare earned her Master’s degree in Architecture and Energy Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University in September 2022. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in September 2020. She joined the IDEAS3 Lab in December 2020. For her Master’s Thesis, she conducted research on the energy performance gap and building certificates, which resulted in a thesis titled “Investigating Different Approaches for Quantifying the Energy Performance Gap between the Design and Operation Phases”.

Some of her research interests include occupant-building interaction, building energy performance, thermal comfort, indoor environmental quality, and energy management. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, learning new skills, and playing music.
